Ephesians 3:20-21

The Apostle Paul started out this prayer in Ephesians 3:14 by giving reverence to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. He ends this prayer by once again giving reverence to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to His Holy Spirit that works in us, giving the glory in the church by Christ Jesus to everyone forever. Paul asks of and gives thanks and praise to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

This is a great example of how we should structure our prayers.

This is a great example of giving reverence to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

God declared Himself to Moses in Exodus 3:14 (NKJV) as He states, “‘I AM WHO I AM.’ And He said, ‘Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” The Bible teaches us about the almighty power of God in Deuteronomy 5:29 as He spoke through the Prophet Moses declaring, “Oh, that they had such a heart in them that they would fear Me and always keep all My commandments, that it might be well with them and with their children forever!” He continues in Deuteronomy 6:4 declaring, “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one! You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.” In John 8:58 Jesus declares, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” Jesus teaches us as He speaks to the woman at the well in John 4:24, “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” In John 14:6 Jesus declares, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” In John 14:15–18 Jesus promises, “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.” And in John 14:26 Jesus promises, “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” This is the process of salvation in Christ Jesus: believing, accepting, receiving, and growing in our relationship with Jesus through the almighty power of God indwelling us with His Holy Spirit to teach us throughout our mortal lives and to eternal life as each of us, through our salvation, declares victory in Christ Jesus over the devil and the ways of this world. Let us all take time today to reflect on the different roles that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit have in our lives, while being one in the same triune God.

Dear Lord,

Thank You for being so awesome. Help us all to remember that You are fully capable of taking care of all our needs, no matter how big or small. Continue to remind us that we can turn to You in prayer anytime, anywhere, and for anything. We thank You for being the one true God, forever. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
